Since I posted this entry, the betters hav...UPDATE:<br />Since I posted this entry, the betters have been busy, and suddenly the once longshot Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong'o jumped from 75/1 odds to frontrunner status at 3/1. Cormac McCarthy also leapt ahead, now up to 6/1, and Haruki Murakami is up to 7/1 odds. I, of course, would be happy if any of these people wins.
